Home grown talent
Sixteen year old Meg Pilgrim joined Acorn Training In July 2014 after leaving school. She decided to get an Apprenticeship as this was a great way for her to be learning and earning at the same time.
Meg applied for the Level 2 Business Administration Apprenticeship here at Acorn Training Consultants and has been working on the main reception since the summer of last year. She has undertaken duties such as taking telephone calls, welcoming visitors, dealing with learner enquiries and general administration tasks.
Meg is nearing the end of her Apprenticeship and so far she has really enjoyed it. She is always kept busy and has enjoyed working alongside the assessors as “they are always enjoyable learning sessions” said Meg.
Meg said “The interview process was really easy, straight forward and stress free. The company made me feel really welcome and I settled in really quick. I feel like I have gained lots of experience and I’m learning every day. I’m so glad I took up the Apprenticeship at Acorn, I love coming into work every day.”Back to the blog
