  • Challenge and report any behaviour that may cause concern to yourself or others
  • To use the premises, IT equipment and internet access with a responsible manner at all times
  • Attend your place of learning promptly and ensure you let Acorn know if you have to cancel
  • Let us know if you need any additional help to enable your learning journey to be completed on time
  • Be honest about your aims and objectives, you need to speak about all concerns
  • Give us feedback to help us to improve our services for you and others

We operate a number of ways that allow you to give feedback. This includes:

  • Commenting on the services during your meetings with the Assessor/Tutor visits
  • Participating in surveys and the review processes
  • Taking part in telephone or face to face interviews
  • Replying to our e-mail/on-line surveys
  • You have the right to complain, comment, compliment Acorn’s services using the forms provided
  • By taking part in the Learner Forum Meetings
  • By telephoning the Main office team on 01773 747377
  • By post to the main office

The National Learner Panel and the new 14-19 Learner Panel have been set-up by the government to give learners a voice in the development of further education policy and the 14-19 reforms at a national level. The panels bring together learners from different types of learning, of different ages and from different parts of the country to make sure that a diverse range of views are heard.
